Stand for the LASER Diodes
Degradation Testing Model DS-8

DS-8 Stand is designed for laser diode long-time tests. The stand provides simultaneous operation of eight independent channels. A set operating temperature in each channel is maintained with the help of Peltier microcooler. Forced air cooling is provided by built-in fans.

Connection to IBM PC

One or several (up to eight) DS-8 stands can be connected to an IBM compatible personal computer. Specially designed software runs under Windows and allows:

• Separate setting the parameters for each laser diode (current, temperature, maximum current)

  
  

• Keeping the trace of LD current, temperature, voltage, photodiode signal, operating time n in each of the channels

  
  

• Continuous graphical and numeric (in tables) presentation of the channel data (temporal and watt vs. current plots for the laser diodes)
